Crossing
Jordan
The
people of Jordan were the biggest surprise, and brightest bonus, of my
first excursion into the Middle East and the Islamic world. I never felt
the slightest hint of anti-Western bias.
Everywhere we went we
were welcomed with genuine enthusiasm. Each school bus that
passed by was filled with smiling children jumping up and down, waving,
yelling hello, wishing us well.

Jordan is a young country with a dense history. A well traveled bridge
between sea and desert, East and West. Above the layers of antiquity lies

Istanbul Besides its mixture of orient and occident reflecting a historical
background, the city rewards you with other alternatives. Fish restaurants
on the Bosphorus, authentic taverns serving traditional delicacies, bars,
night clubs. In some people’s opinion, night life in Istanbul is far
better than in any other European city.
